Gladmat

Each year over 200,000 visitors flock to Stavanger for the annual Gladmat food festival. The celebration of cuisine from Norway and further afield runs over four days in July, and showcases some of the country's best professional chefs and local producers.

Set in the main harbour in central Stavanger, the stunning location is almost as enticing as the food on offer.

Gladmat organisers are committed to quality, and the Gladmat festival is the biggest of its kind in Scandinavia. Enjoy a range of Norwegian delicacies, including meat and fish dishes, plus workshops and cookery lessons at this vibrant summer festival.

Highlights of Gladmat food festival
Gladmat started in 1999 and has grown from strength to strength, and if you're travelling to Stavanger for the food festival make sure you visit some of the most prolific stalls including Tango, Craigs and Sala Thai.

Held each evening throughout the festival, the Gala Dinner in the Concert Hall brings together some of Norway's most acclaimed chefs for a stunning five-course meal. Served up in the stunning Concert Hall, the dinner is also accompanied by music from a top Norwegian pianist.

From sushi courses to cooking demonstrations, there is plenty of opportunity to get hands on at Gladmat too.
