Responsible Business - Let's take responsibility
Hotels play an important role in the tourism and travel industry, which contributes to the economic development of local communities around the world. The Rezidor Hotel Group realises that we cannot thrive without the help of the community. Every year, we host more than 11 million guests in our 270 hotels in 45 countries across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. We take our role seriously, facilitating the preservation of local traditions as well as supporting the protection of cultural heritage sites and the natural environment.
Taking responsibility for the environment and local community has been an important part of Rezidor's broader commitment to sustainable development for many years. In 2001, this commitment was fortified and placed within the scope of a programme called Responsible Business. Each hotel has a unique Responsible Business Plan covering areas such as community outreach, environmental improvement, employee well-being, health and safety. To read more about the Responsible Business programme, please go to www.responsiblebusiness.rezidor.com.
Our hotels are engaged with both local charity groups and Rezidor's corporate international charity organisation, the World Childhood Foundation. The mission of Childhood is to defend the rights of the children and to promote better living conditions for vulnerable and exploited children at risk all over the world.
