Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel, Baku

Responsible Business - Let's take responsibility

Taking responsibility for the environment and local community has been an important part of the commitment of the Rezidor Hotel Group to sustainable development for many years. In 2001, this commitment was fortified and placed within the scope of a programme called Responsible Business (RB). Each hotel has a unique RB Action Plan covering areas such as community outreach, environmental improvement, employee well-being and health and safety. To read more about the RB programme, please go to www.responsiblebusiness.rezidor.com.

The hotels are engaged with both local charity groups and the corporate international charity organisation of the Rezidor Hotel Group, the World Childhood Foundation. The mission of Childhood is to defend the rights of the child and to promote better living conditions for vulnerable and exploited children at risk all over the world.

Giving back to the community will always be an important part of the Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel, Baku. Involvement in the community sets the Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel apart from other hotels. Baku is a better place to live because of the following achievements by the hotel:

  • Participated in World No Tobacco Day by dropping thousands of balloons with "No Smoking" signs from the hotel's Baku location on the 17th floor of the ISR Plaza Business Centre. The hotel placed posters and tent cards throughout the building, encouraging people to avoid smoking.
