Green hotel practises Responsible Business
Taking responsibility for the environment and local community has been an important part of the broader commitment of the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group to sustainable development for many years. In 2001, this commitment was fortified and placed within the scope of a programme called Responsible Business (RB). Each hotel has a unique RB Action Plan covering such areas as community outreach, environmental improvement, employee well-being and health and safety.
The hotels are engaged with both local charity groups and the World Childhood Foundation, the international charity organisation supported by the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group. The mission of the World Childhood Foundation is to defend the rights of the child and to promote better living conditions for vulnerable and exploited children at risk all over the world.

Every Euro Counts
The hotel is making contributions to the Carlton Charity Fund, which supports talented yet unprivileged children who want to pursue playing hockey. A EUR 2 charge is added to each guest's hotel bill and then donated to the SSAB Foundation to support these children with the clothing and equipment needed to pursue their dreams. Guests may contribute a different amount or remove the voluntary contribution by informing the staff at check-out.
Bio-cleaning of mattresses
This green hotel puts a strong focus on a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee for guests. As a result, the staff has implemented a monthly bio-cleaning of mattresses. Working in conjunction with a specialised company called BIOVITAL, the mattresses undergo a chemical-free antibacterial cleaning and are then tested for the presence of allergens. Certificates of this cleaning are displayed on each floor of the hotel.
