Nuuksio is one of Finland's protected national parks where visitors can follow nature trails and find themselves by the side of a lake, berry-picking and mushroom-foraging in leafy woodland, standing in a meadow of wild flowers or atop a hill looking over the scenery below.
This National Park is also home to some rare species of flora and fauna, notably squirrels, deer and snakes. While Nuuksio is undoubtedly unspoilt and an area of great natural beauty, it is surprisingly close to Espoo city centre, with frequent bus services connecting the two.
