Responsible Business

Taking responsibility for the environment and local community has been an important part of Rezidor's broader commitment to sustainable development for many years. In 2001, this commitment was fortified and placed within the scope of a programme called Responsible Business (RB). Each hotel has a unique RB Action Plan covering areas such as community outreach, environmental improvement, employee well-being and health and safety. Our hotels are engaged with both local charity groups and Rezidor's corporate international charity organisation, the World Childhood Foundation. The mission of Childhood is to defend the rights of the child and to promote better living conditions for vulnerable and exploited children at risk all over the world.

Customers - Increase Customer RB Awareness

• In December 2008, Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel received 3:rd party certification "Swan" label. This certification demands that the hotel has an annual updated Environmental Plan, Environmental Policy, High Measurable goals and Established routines an external audit is done. • Since 2003 Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel has worked closely together with Queen Silvias Children- and Youth Hospital. The hotel sponsors over night stay for families and all coins that are donated in the hotels pond are donated to the hospital. The staff donates toys, books and so on.
• September is Responsible Business Action Month at Rezidor. Now (2009) in its 6th year, during RBAM, hotels make an extra effort  to organise social and environmental activities - engaging with employees, guests and the local community - raising awareness for Responsible Business and raising funds to support our  corporate charity organisation, World Childhood Foundation as well as local causes.
