Renovation of the Radisson Blu Hotel, Kuwait
The Radisson Blu Hotel, Kuwait closed the doors of its main building on 21 December 2010 for a multi-million dollar redevelopment project to give the 30-year-old property a new, fresh and sophisticated look.
The reopened Radisson Blu Hotel, Kuwait will offer 194 rooms, six junior suites, 23 executive suites and one presidential suite, all equipped with the facilities and amenities you'd expect from a first class property. Staying true to the Radisson Blu brand standards, our Kuwait hotel will offer three distinctive styles of décor: Naturally Cool, Relax and NY Mansion House.
New heights of service at Radisson Blu
Business class guests at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Kuwait will have access to a new executive lounge, located on the rooftop, which will provide first-class food and service, and unforgettable panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf.
The reopening of the hotel’s new building will also reveal the Al Bustan and Peacock restaurants – both of which are already well-known and respected restaurants in Kuwait. The Al Bustan will serve international cuisine while the Peacock, the Radisson Blu Hotel, Kuwait's Chinese restaurant, will offer the finest cuisine from mainland and coastal China.
Improved facilities for meetings and events in Kuwait
The Radisson Blu Hotel, Kuwait redevelopment project also includes a revamp of part of our meeting area. When it reopens, the hotel will boast a new 360-square-metre ballroom with a comfortable and modern foyer.
While the main building of the hotel is reconstructed, the remaining facilities - including the Al Hashemi Ballroom and meeting area, Al Boom and Rangoli restaurants, Al Hashemi Residence and the Viking Club - will be open daily, ready to welcome guests at any time.
The Guinness Record-holding Al Hashemi Ballroom boasts a unique design which attracts corporate and private clients looking to hold events in Kuwait. The Radisson Blu Hotel, Kuwait has also developed some fantastic packages for weddings in Kuwait, designed to meet the tastes and expectations of all its clients.

While our Al Bustan and Peacock restaurants are currently being renovated, the Radisson Blu Hotel, Kuwait still has several restaurants which are open for business:
- Al Boom Steak and Seafood - Located aboard a traditional Arabian dhow, the Al Boom restaurant tempts diners with its delicious menu and unique ambience and décor. This restaurant at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Kuwait received a national award for service and has been recognised as one of the Middle East's top restaurants by Esquire magazine.
- The Rangoli - Serving international dishes and a super breakfast, the Radisson Blu Hotel, Kuwait's all-day restaurant also recently introduced a take away menu.
The Viking Club at Radisson Kuwait
The Viking Club, part of the Radisson Blu Hotel, Kuwait for last 20 years, has always been renowned as a family club. The club's staff run squash and volleyball tournaments on a monthly basis And we have also recently introduced a number of new classes, including Aikido for Children, and Shape and Tone for Ladies.
