Responsible Business - Let's take responsibility
Taking responsibility for the environment and local community has been an important part of the broader commitment of the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group to sustainable development for many years. In 2001, this commitment was fortified and placed within the scope of a programme called Responsible Business (RB). Each hotel has a unique RB Action Plan covering areas such as community outreach, cultural heritage, employee and children’s rights, health and safety and environmental improvements.
The hotels are engaged with both local charity groups and the corporate international charity organisation supported by the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, the World Childhood Foundation. The mission of the foundation is to defend the rights of the child and promote better living conditions for vulnerable and exploited children all over the world.
Examples of RB activities and achievements at this hotel:
- We provide refreshments and gifts for the city's children's and retirement homes in Pysely.
- We cooperate with the children's home in Krnsko to organise cooking lessons, Christmas baking and many other activities
- The Radisson Blu Alcron Hotel, Prague is awarded with the Green Key, an eco-label for tourism and leisure establishments that fulfil a list of environmental requirements.
- We appreciate the existing cooperation with UNICEF.
We are proud of our own charity project, Dinner for a Good Cause, a special cooking lesson led by Michelin Star Executive Chef Roman Paulus. All proceeds from this evening go completely to the organisation Dobry Andel. Dobry Andel helps families with children or parents affected with cancer who are in financial difficulties due to their illness.
