Responsible Business - Let's take responsibility
Responsible business and corporate social responsibility are words that guests and employees want to hear loud and clearly. Our hotel is dedicated to Responsible Business initiatives focusing on ethical, social and environmental responsibility. These three pillars support Responsible Business initiatives and are used as filters in decision making. Taking responsibility for the environment and local community has been an important part of the broader commitment of the Rezidor Hotel Group to sustainable development for many years. In 2001, this commitment was fortified and placed within the scope of a programme called Responsible Business (RB). Each hotel has a unique RB Action Plan covering areas such as community outreach, environmental improvement, employee well-being and health and safety.
The hotels are engaged with both local charity groups and the corporate international charity organisation recognised by the Rezidor Hotel Group, the World Childhood Foundation. The mission of Childhood is to defend the rights of the child and to promote better living conditions for vulnerable and exploited children at risk all over the world.

Hotel Accomplishments:
- World Childhood Foundation: The Rezidor Hotel Group partners with World Childhood Foundation. Activities in the company's hotels in Europe, Africa and the Middle East support the organization - founded in 1999 by H.M. Queen Silvia of Sweden - and seek to protect street children, children in institutions and young mothers at risk.
- Red Cross Society: Radisson Blu Iveria Hotel and the Red Cross Society have an agreement that special donation boxes will be allocated on the reception desk, giving everyone opportunity to donate as much as they wish for charity.
- First step Georgia: The hotel actively supports local charity organization First Step Georgia. In 2010, when the organization arranged a gala dinner for fundraising purposes, the hotel donated use of the Ballroom free of charge.
- Tbilisi Piano: The hotel supports the Tbilisi Piano organization dedicated to performing famous pantomime plays and donating the income to different childhood organizations. The hotel donates free use of a meeting room for the organization's rehearsals.
- Elderly House "Satnoeba": Employees of the hotel on a regular basis support the elderly house "Satnoeba". Each month they visit the house, bring food and other necessary items and spend couple of hours together with the residents.
- Gingerbread House – UNICEF and US Marines (Toys for Tots): In December 2010, a charity action was held in the Radisson Blu Iveria Hotel's lobby. Anyone could visit the hotel and decorate the gigantic gingerbread house with cookies and candies, or take part and donate money to UNICEF. The Radisson Blu Iveria Hotel has also joined the United States tradition Toys for Tots. Two to three months before Christmas, the US Marines start collecting new, wrapped presents for children deprived of care. This year, many toys were gathered in the hotel lobby for donating to those in need.
- Actively involved in local community charity contributions: Employees of the Radisson Blu Iveria Hotel are willing to participate in charity actions as well as fundraise for local charities.
Environment:
The hotel tries to reduce the impact on the environment by installing low energy bulbs, low flush toilets, sensor tabs, and by recycling papers. The hotel is also active supporters of Earth Hour.
