Just 1.3 kilometres from the hotel, Bernardinai Garden is a public park that was reopened in 2013 after reconstruction. Located in the city centre, the park is next to Gediminas Tower. It’s a great place to relax and absorb the energy of nature. Bernardinai Garden is also home to an amusement park and a few modern playgrounds, making it a great place to bring the kids.
The park was established in the 18th century by the Bernardines monks, who drained areas of the Vilnia River to create a piece of nature for religious use. The park was closed to the public in 1842 and used as a personal garden of the Governor General. It was given back to the city only at the end of the 19th century.
