Radisson Blu Schwarzer Bock Hotel, Wiesbaden

Responsible Business - Let's take responsibility

Taking responsibility for the environment and local community has been an important part of the commitment of The Rezidor Hotel Group to sustainable development. In 2001, this commitment was fortified and placed within the scope of a program called Responsible Business (RB). Each hotel has a unique RB Action Plan covering areas such as community outreach, environmental improvement, employee well-being and health and safety. To read more about the RB program, please visit www.responsiblebusiness.rezidor.com.

The hotels are engaged with both local charity groups and the selected corporate international charity organisation of The Rezidor Hotel Group, the World Childhood Foundation. The mission of Childhood is to defend the rights of the child and to promote better living conditions for vulnerable and exploited children at risk all over the world. The hotel's Responsible Business activities and achievements include:

  • Healthy cooking at school - Obesity is becoming a severe problem in Germany and starts at a young age. Therefore, the hotel's chef teamed up with Rotary Club and visited a primary school to promote healthy dieting for children.
  • Cleaning the city for a day - Paired with the Department of Sanitation of the City of Wiesbaden, members of the Radisson Blu Schwarzer Bock Hotel cleaned areas of the city to keep Wiesbaden looking clean.
  • Supporting the music and arts - Every summer, Wiesbaden becomes a popular hub for classical music during the "Rheingau Musik Festival." As a major sponsor, the hotel is hosting stars such as Maxim Vengerov, Sarah Chang, Kurt Masur, Sir Neville Marriner, Lang Lang, Thomas Hampson and Dee Dee Bridgewater.

Additionally, the hotel sponsored the Youth Symphonic Orchestra of Hesse, under the patronage of the Prime Minister, at its sold-out, 30-year anniversary concert in Wiesbaden's famous Kurhaus.
