Find out more about Ghandi's House in Johannesburg
The Satyagraha House was built in 1907 by German architect Hermann Kallenbach, a close friend of Ghandi's. Resembling a Kraal or traditional African farm house, the property is a symbol of the personal achievements of future Indian leader during his 21 years in South Africa.

Renovated by a team including historians, architects, curators and interior designers, the spirit of the house has been restored to convey an important part of Ghandi's history in the country. The museum explores the leader's experiences in South Africa, the memories of which bring a calm and peaceful atmosphere to the site.
