Responsible Business - Let's take responsibility

Taking responsibility for the environment and local community has been an important part of Rezidor's broader commitment to sustainable development for many years. In 2001, this commitment was fortified and placed within the scope of a programme called Responsible Business (RB). Each hotel has a unique RB Action Plan covering areas such as community outreach, environmental improvement, employee well-being and health and safety. Our hotels are engaged with both local charity groups and Rezidor's corporate international charity organisation, the World Childhood Foundation. The mission of Childhood is to defend the rights of the child and to promote better living conditions for vulnerable and exploited children at risk all over the world.

Here are some of the Responsible Business activities and achievements of this hotel:

• Golf Gala was sponsored with food + beverage - the donation supports mentally or physically obstructed needy and undeservedly humans undergoing emergency treatments(Franz-Beckenbauer-Stiftung)
• Five persons peeled asparagus that the customers have bought on the market towards a donation. Altogether, 1000 Euro have been donated.(Parents initiative Child cancer assistance for the University clinic Düsseldorf)
• As optimization for our employers we placed a stand for bicycles in the garage.(Employers)
• Donation of a dinner Voucher with corresponding beverages("Deutsches Rotes Kreuz" tombola supporting the "public kitchens for children" Kindertafel project)
• HEAM - together with the DUSZH we will paint all parents rooms of the child cancer station in the university hospitality Düsseldorf.(Parents initiative Child cancer assistance for the University clinic Düsseldorf)
• We are godparents for a girl in Africa(Plan international)
• Donation of a dinner Voucher (three course menu) with corresponding beverages and an overnight in a suite(First Class Hilft - The voucher will be  auctioned for the lowest bid of 450,00 Euro)
