The famous Konigsalle
One of Germany's most exclusive shopping districts, the Konigsallee is a kilometer and a half long avenue that stretches through the Old Town, also known as Altsadt. The boulevard is home to luxury shopping boutiques and is the showroom of esteemed couturiers.
The Konigsallee, or 'The Ko' as it is often called, has many high end brands such as Prada, Gucci, Chanel and other fashion houses that line this spacious avenue. It is easy to see why the fashionable prefer to shop here. The name itself directly translates to the 'King's Avenue', and rightly so, as this tree-lined pathway has always been the playground of the more affluent and influential.
Grab your wallet and follow the beautiful ancient channel flowing down the middle of the street, as you fill your bags with the world’s best designs. If you are just looking to take a wonderful stroll, grab an ice cream and wander along the channel. Most days the boulevard is crowded, giving off an excellent bustling atmosphere, as shopaholics hunt for the best pieces.
