The GDF Suez Diamond Games ladies tennis matches take place once a year at the Antwerp Sportpaleis. The tournament has attracted high profile players from the ladies game such as Venus Williams and Kim Clijsters since its inception in 2002.

In addition to winning the Diamond Games Antwerp, there is also a trophy for anyone who is able to win the singles competition three times in five years. In 2007 Amélie Mauresmo won a golden racquet decorated with diamonds for this feat. The racquet was estimated to be worth 1 million euros. There has been a new trophy available since 2008, featuring a golden racquet and ball, decorated with 2008 diamonds.
