Elaphite Island Beaches
Just 15 minutes by boat from the resort, the idyllic Elaphite Islands boast a number of pristine sandy beaches. With fine, white sand, Šunj Beach on the island of Lopud is known as one of the best beaches in the Dubrovnik region and is located just a short walk from the harbour. Numerous small beaches are also to be found on the tranquil island of Koločep.
Travel from this Dubrovnik resort to the Elaphite Islands is easy with day trips to the islands, made daily at noon and returning at 17:00. Bookings can be made at the guest relations desk in the reception area. Cruises and speed boat trips to the islands can also be arranged from the port of Gruž in Dubrovnik.
Lokrum Island beaches
The idyllic island of Lokrum is a protected nature reserve and is home to countless pebble beaches that back onto lush groves of pine trees. The island's crystal clear salt lake, called Mrtvo More (Dead Sea), is particularly popular with families and non-swimmers. Lokrum is also known for its stunning views of the Old Town and historical sites, including the ruins of a Benedictine monastery and botanic gardens, as well as the Fort Royal, built in the shape of a five-pointed star by the French army in 1806.
Just 700 metres from Dubrovnik's Old Town, Lokrum is easily accessed by a pleasant 10-minute boat trip from the Old Port. Boats depart every half hour during the summer months and every hour in the spring and autumn.
Banje Beach
One of the most famous pebble beaches in Dubrovnik, elegant Banje Beach offers breathtaking views of the Old Town. This is a very popular spot in summer to see and be seen. Like many other Dubrovnik beaches, during the summer Banje plays host to Wild League, the fast-paced amateur water polo tournament.
Getting to Banje Beach is easy - just take a shuttle boat from the resort to the Old Town harbour and then enjoy a 15-minute walk lined with majestic walls and buildings of this historic part of Dubrovnik.
