City center hotel in Reykjavik is the perfect home base for exploring Iceland
Being the northernmost capital in the world, Reykjavik might welcome you with midnight sun or northern lights, depending on the time of year. No matter the season, Reykjavik is always charming and combines cutting-edge urban lifestyles with the dynamic natural wonders that embraces the city. The hotel is only a few steps away from Reykjavik attractions like the National Museum and University of Iceland. The Nordic house is just around the corner and the city center with its perpetual motion, museums, restaurants and shops, is only minutes away. Visits to spurting geysers, magnificent waterfalls and natural parks, such as Thingvellir, make perfect day trips.
Ample car parking is available on site for those driving to the Radisson Blu, and buses run directly from the international Keflavik Airport 45 minutes away. Domestic flights depart from Reykjavik Airport, just five minutes from the hotel. During the summer, bicycles are available for rent, and a bus stop on the city network is located right outside the hotel.
From Keflavik Airport, follow signs toward Reykjavik. Follow Reykjanesbraut (nr 41) for about 35 minutes to Hafnafjordur. Continue through this town and at the fourth traffic light, take a right turn in the direction of Reykjavik. Drive through the towns of Gardabaer and Kopavogur. (The road will now be called Kringlumyrarbraut.) After passing the Kringlan shopping mall on the right side and crossing through the Kringlumyrarbraut/Miklabraut intersection, turn left to Miklabraut at the large traffic lights. Continue straight until the first roundabout and exit left. Take the first right turn to the hotel.
