Rent a Bike in Copenhagen
Cycling is a great way to get around Copenhagen. Around half the city’s population commutes by bike and in the center there are in fact more bikes than people! And biking is not only for visitors and students. Over half of the Danish Parliament pedals to work each day. The stereotype is true and biking culture here is huge, so to truly embrace everything Danish when visiting be sure to go on a biking tour.
Cycle through the city
One of the first things you will notice when walking the streets of Copenhagen is that it is a cyclist's paradise. You will notice businessmen and women in suits pedaling at every corner and parents with their children strapped into baby bike seats. Cycle paths line virtually all of the city center's streets, so forget that taxi or bus, grab yourself a set of wheels and explore the city safely and easily at your own pace.
Travellng by bike is a great way to see Copenhagen's main sights, like The Little Mermaid statue by the water, Rosenborg Castle and Amalienborg Palace. It also makes it easier to explore some of the city's lesser known parts. Bike rental is a fantastic option for anyone wanting to see more of the surrounding areas as well. The charming coastal village of Dragor, the historic town of Frederiksberg and the beautiful Dyrehaven (Deer Park) in Klampenborg are ideal destinations for cyclists.
