Director of Catering and Conference Services: Joy Jahanbani
With 25 years of experience working in hotels, including the last seven years in the downtown Chicago area at the Palmer House Hilton, Trump International Hotel, LondonHouse and now the Radisson Blu, Joy Jahanbani knows the industry inside and out and has worked in almost every department. Catering is her true passion and has been for the last 15 years. “We at the Radisson Blu have the ability to customize anything to your liking,” says Jahanbani.
Senior Catering Sales Manager: Rosie Sowell
For Rosie Sowell, attention to detail is key when it comes to creating the perfect wedding. That’s something Sowell learned at a very young age from her mom, who worked in the hospitality industry. Following in her footsteps, Sowell became a sales and catering coordinator while in her second year in college. Positions as conference services coordinator and catering manager followed with properties in California, including at Kimpton Sir Francis Drake in San Francisco and DoubleTree by Hilton Golf Resort Palm Springs. “I love finding unique ways to make a wedding day special and memorable to each couple by reflecting their personalities in the event,” says Sowell.
Catering Sales Manager: Michelle Bloom
With a degree in hospitality management and eight years of industry experience, Michelle Bloom skillfully works with couples to create their vision of the perfect wedding. Fluent in Spanish and armed with an extensive international background, Bloom uses her creativity and detail-oriented expertise to create flawless events starting with the pre-planning stage and until the last glass of Champagne is finished.
Executive Banquet Chef: Leah Turowski
As the youngest of five children, Leah Turowski’s passion for cooking took root while helping her mom with family meals. Culinary school followed by seven years at the Four Seasons Chicago refined her kitchen skills in both restaurant and banquet catering settings. Later, her experience opening a Chicago luxury hotel helped polish her menu writing skills and grew her appreciation for the unique touches she could impart on weddings. “Any wedding at the Radisson Blu is special because it is yours,” says Turowski. “My passion for weddings and creating special dishes for the bride and groom comes from years of cooking for my own family gatherings.”
