Champagne Bar Events
“Back to school” at the Dokhan's Bar and harvest time in the Champagne!
After a mild spring and hot summer in Champagne, the vintage 2015 looks exceptional. All the meteorological conditions were met to allow the grapes to develop perfectly. To celebrate a good start to the season, we have selected 3 beautiful house Champagnes for you.
Our first selection is the Champagne Alfred Gratien, which was made in Epernay. The brand's motto is, "I always thought that Champagne should be to wine what haute couture is to fashion." This champagne has been handmade at the family home since 1864 and differs mainly by the way its made. It is fermented in small oak barrels (228 liters), which makes the champagne have a distinct style while keeping fruit flavors and authenticity.
The Brut cuvée is a blend of the 3 most famous Champagne grape varieties: Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir. Moreover, this cuvée is a beautiful pale yellow color featuring golden hues, fresh nose on citrus, peach, mango and a fresh lingering finish.
The Brut Rosé is a pale pink color with aromas of red berries, raspberry woods and subtle notes of
verbena, a blend of Pinot Meunier and very flattering Chardonnay.
The Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru 2007 is a wine produced in a single year, which is a very nice vintage Champagne with great rigor. Its bewitching scents of white flowers, apricot and pear make the palate lively and refreshing leaving a salty side, a wine with a beautiful precision. We also present the 2000 vintage by the glass, the first arrived will be very happy.
Located in the village classified Grand Cru, Mareuil-sur-Ay the champagne Philipponnat. We are proud to offer you the famous "Clos des Goisses" vintage plot, one of the largest and most prestigious wine by the glass, from 1 Oct, as well as older vintages to discover in our champagne menu. We offer the Royal Reserve non dosé, Royal Reserve Rosé and 1522 2004 vintage for tasting.
Royal Reserve non dosé will be in the spotlight and it is ideal to start the tasting with. You can judge the quality of the grapes because no added sugar has been made a right salty side.
Royal Reserve Rosé is a wine with its own identity through 30 or 40% of reserve wines. It is a bottle with a nice festive spirit and a lot of freshness.
1522 2004 vintage is a pure vintage, very low-dose with deep minerality. Due to a great vintage in the Champagne region, it leaves a "toasted vanilla" taste on the palate.
The champagne Delamotte, located at Mesnil sur Oger in the heart of the Côte des Blancs will also be honored. This family of winemakers for 8 generations has a domain of only 11 hectares. This vineyard has a very specific style and has given birth to great wines of Champagne.
Exclusive at the Dokhan's is the Delamotte Blanc de Blanc 2007. The aromas of exotic fruit and floral unite the famous brioche of Delamotte key. In the mouth, we appreciate the rich refreshing attack with a very rare and beautiful length superb final.
Brut Blanc de Blancs allows the Chardonnay a full expression with great structure and finesse.
The Rosé meanwhile is a very small production house. They use a method called « Rosé de Saigné » (Rose of Bled) which is to macerate the grapes with red skins for color. With a flattering nose of red berries, a frank and subtle mouth.
Cuvée Blanc de Blancs 2002 is a vintage-called "exceptional" in the region by its character, aromas of toast, butter, creamy mouth with always very fresh and tension.
