The Qaitbay Citadel in Alexandria is considered as one of the most important defensive strongholds not only in Egypt but also in the Mediterranean Sea coast. It formulated an important part of the fortification system of Alexandria in the 15th century AD. It was built on a square design with an area of 17,550 m² surrounded by sea from three sides.
The citadel is situated by the end of Pharos Island at the west of Alexandria city, and it's just a 40-minute drive from the Hotel.
Quitbay Citadel is considered to be one of the most important touristic attractions in Egypt in general and in Alexandria specifically.
