Frankfurt Christmas Market
Located on Victoria Square and open from mid-November until Christmas Eve, Birmingham’s Frankfurt Christmas Market is the largest authentic German Christmas market outside of Germany and Austria. Visit the many decorated stalls and let the Christmas spirit wash over you.

  • Enjoy the bandstand which performs daily:
    • 12:00 – 14:00 and 17:00 – 21:00 (Monday – Friday)
    • 10:00 – 17:00 (Saturday – Sunday)
Christmas Pantomimes
The Birmingham Hippodrome invites you and yours to a fairy-tale experience. Its production of the Nutcracker, performed by the Birmingham Royal Ballet, has been part of the city’s Christmas tradition for over 26 years along with other festive shows.
 
Chinese New Year Festival
Experience traditional lion and dragon dances, firecrackers, delicious Chinese street food, martial arts and acrobats, as well as children’s fun-fair rides, face painting and performances. All of this awaits in Birmingham’s Southside district during the Chinese New Year Festival.
