Tour Peles & Bran Castle

“Two Castles in One Day” is one of the most popular day trips from Bucharest to Transylvania. Travelling along a picturesque route through the Carpathian Mountains, the tour allows tourists to discover two of the most beautiful and renowned castles in Romania in a single day's journey.

Peles Castle
Peles Castle, erected between 1873 and 1914, was the official summer residence of the Romanian Royal Family for decades and is nowadays the most visited museum in Romania.

Nestled in the mountains near Sinaia, this Neo-Renaissance palace is made up of 160 rooms. Each contains a different collection of outstanding art, furniture and other antiques, including stained glass, sculptures and one of the most extensive collections of weaponry in Europe.

Bran Castle
Perched dramatically on the edge of a gorge guarding a key entry route to Transylvania, the 14th-century Bran Castle served as a military stronghold for centuries before becoming a royal residence in the 20th century.

Nowadays it is most famous for its association with the legend of Dracula, and houses a fascinating selection of art and furniture from the royal collection in its atmospheric rooms.

The "Two Castles in One Day" trip also includes a short walking tour of downtown Brasov as an example of a typical Romanian Old Town.
