Blarney Castle

Visit one of Ireland’s most popular attractions, set amongst a sweeping landscape of rivers and lakes. This 15th century Castle is home to the famous Blarney Stone, where legend says that if you kiss it, you’re given the gift of eloquence, known to locals as the gift of “the gab”. Experience the wonders of Blarney Castle just a 25-minute drive from the Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa, Cork.
What to experience at Blarney Castle
Explore this beautiful attraction with your family, special someone or friends. Walk around the medieval Castle and its grounds to view it from as many angles as you can and appreciate its architecture. If you want to kiss the Blarney stone, dress comfortably as you’ll have to climb up the narrow spiral staircase, lie down on the parapet floor and lean backwards to reach the stone.
The estate is home to many more amazing sights, such as Blarney House, gardens and walks, woodland paths, wildlife, bogs and much more.
Visit the Poison Garden, where lethal plants from around the world grow to teach us about their uses, and wander through the nooks and turns of the wondrous Rock Close. Time will fly by and you can easily spend half a day exploring the sights of and surrounding Blarney Castle.
