One of the so-called "Triplet Cities," Dhahran is one of the three cities that make up the expansive Dammam Metropolitan. Together, Dhahran, Dammam and Khobar make the largest metropolitan area in the kingdom's Eastern Province. With its enormous oil reserves, it is no surprise that Dhahran is also home to the Arabian American Oil Company, or "Aramco." The oil industry is largely responsible for Dhahran's considerable expatriate community. A majority of those families live in the Saudi Aramco Residential Camp -- a district that has become almost synonymous with Dhahran itself. The city's rapid growth shows no sign of stopping, transforming the area into a cosmopolitan hub where various cultures converge. At the Radisson Blu, guests can reach business sites as well as the Dhahran city centre from the hotel's ideal position.
