What to see at Durham Cathedral

  • Visit the burial site of the famous 7th century European scholar, poet, scientist and historian Bede and St. Cuthbert, regarded as the patron saint of Northern England.
  • Regular services are held four times a day and one of the cathedral’s main attractions include occasional concerts and recitals, as well as daily singing of choral services – including evensong.
  • Enjoy a cup of tea at the Undercroft restaurant and explore one of the beautiful exhibits.
For kids and the young at heart
Harry Potter fans of all ages will recognize the beautiful cloisters of Durham Cathedral, which served as Hogwarts’ quadrangle in the films. In addition, check out the fun LEGO version of the cathedral at the foyer of the Undercroft.
