What to experience at Glasgow School of Art (GSA)

While the GSA’s Reid Gallery features thought provoking exhibitions by contemporary, local and international artists, the Visitor Centre features a permanent exhibition featuring artefacts from the GSA archives. The school offers two tours led by their student guides:
  • Mackintosh’s Glasgow Walking Tour – a walking tour of Glasgow’s distinctive architectural styles at the turn of the century. The Tour lasts 2 hours and 15 minutes.
  • Mackintosh at the GSA Tour – Award winning student-led tour that explores the history of the Mackintosh building and its architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh. Due to restoration works on the building, visitors cannot access it. Lasts 45 mins.
 
Stop by the School’s Gift Shop for an excellent selection of books, souvenirs and contemporary products, such as jewellery, accessories and homeware designed by their talented alumni.
