Responsible Business - Let's take responsibility!
WE’RE PROUD TO BE A RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS
Taking responsibility for the environment and local community has been an important part of the broader commitment of the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group to sustainable development for many years. In 2001, this commitment was fortified and placed within the scope of a program called Responsible Business (RB). Each hotel has a unique RB Action Plan covering areas such as community outreach, environmental improvement, employee well-being and health and safety.
The Radisson Blu Hotel, Hamburg has been awarded the Green Key. Green Key certification is given by the FEE (Foundation for Environmental Education) and has been awarded to 1,800 tourist facilities in 29 countries. It is based on criteria that go beyond a country’s environmental requirements; to be Green Key certified is to be actively creating a sustainable environment and community for the future.

"GreenSign" seal for sustainability for the national and international hotel industry
We are very proud of winning the award "GreenSign Level 3", which we received in 2017 as the first hotel in Hamburg.
The publisher of "GreenSign" is the InfraCert Institute for Sustainable Development for the hotel industry based in Berlin. The sustainability concept was implemented in all areas of our hotel. It was tested in core areas such as energy, water, waste, purchasing, regionality and transport, quality management and sustainable development, management and communication as well as social and economic responsibility. The fulfilled criteria can be directly seen by employees, suppliers and guests at the hotel and are an expression of a continuous quality assurance and a responsible future-oriented approach.
