As one of the Channel Islands, Jersey offers an array of beaches along the coast of the island. Many of these are considered the main attractions of the area and are some of the favourite motifs on post cards and travel brochures. Whether you are looking for fine sands and calm waters, pebble and rock beaches, or coarser sand and thrilling waves, you will find it here. At the Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel in Jersey you are near many of these pristine beaches, and the beautiful St. Aubin’s Bay is on your doorstep.

Best spots for relaxation by the water

Some of the most popular fine sand beaches are found on the southern part of the island. Near the hotel you will find Green Island and La Haule, both of which are popular with families, as the bay shelters the area from the strong current and big waves. The Victoria Pool, which is a large tidal marine pool, is also very popular. Note that the pool can only be used for up to 3 hours on falling or rising tide, as it will be fully submerged on high tide.

These top spots are perfect for relaxation and are all located in the picturesque St. Aubin’s Bay. If hunger sets in, you should make your way to the historic fishing village of St. Aubin’s Bay which is filled with friendly locals and fresh seafood cuisine that will delight your taste buds. Finally, St. Brelade’s Bay on the most southern tip of the island, is one of the most popular tourist beaches and features an abundance of cafés and kiosks.

Top surfing spots

If you are looking for a more action-packed experience, you should visit one of the beaches on the west coast of the island. These spots are particularly popular with surfers, as big waves roll in from the ocean, and a strong undercurrent make the waves rise in a way that is perfect for surfing. St. Ouen’s Bay is known as one of the best surfing spots in the Channel Islands and stretches across 8 kilometres of golden sand.
