Responsible Business - Green Travel

Taking responsibility for the environment and the local community plays an important role for the Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel, Jersey. As part of our dedicated Responsible Business programme we have a unique Responsible Business Action Plan covering areas such as community outreach, environmental improvement, employee well-being and health and safety. One of the priorities in the Action Plan is to encourage guests to take ownership and to travel around the island responsibly.

This hotel is ideally located in the capital of Jersey, St. Helier. Only a 5-minute walk from the town centre and financial district, the hotel can easily be reached by public transport. Jersey International Airport is only 25 minutes by bus and the ferry terminal, Elizabeth Harbour, is only a 5-minute walk from the hotel.

Buses
Travelling by bus can help lower guests’ carbon footprint and save time and money used in car parks. Jersey buses also offer excellent routes covering the whole island, and during the summer months visitors can take advantage of the bus routes that cover the main tourist attractions and destinations. When travelling from the airport guests can utilise the frequent number 15 bus, which stops at Liberation Station, only a 5-minute walk from the hotel.

Bicycles
Jersey is also well known for its Green Lanes and beautiful cycling tracks, where visitors can explore the island away from main roads. The hotel staff can help you arrange bike rental from Zebra Bike Hire. For those bringing their own bikes, the hotel offers cycle racks on site and recommends running and cycling routes with #BluRoutes.
