Radisson Blu Hotel, Klaipeda

Klaipeda Old Town

The historical Old Town is one of the city’s most intriguing areas. A stroll down charming streets leads to beautiful examples of medieval Germany’s characteristic Fachwerk-style architecture. In this oldest part of Klaipeda, you can also admire fragments of castle fortifications that date back to the 17th and 18th centuries. As you walk along the river Dane and approach Klaipeda’s main bridge, you’ll come upon the impressive, newly restored Meridianas sailing vessel. A symbol of the city, Meridianas was built in Finland in 1948 and restored in 2014. The ship is now among Klaipeda’s most prominent attractions.
