Cape Town Stadium
One of the city’s most iconic landmarks is Cape Town Stadium, situated next to the famous V&A Waterfront. Built to host the 2010 FIFA World Cup, the 55,000 capacity is built over three tiers and is home to Ajax Cape Town FC.
Concerts and Events
Although primarily a sporting venue, this versatile multi-purpose venue is host to a number of other events. It is one of the city’s most popular concert and music facilities and has welcomed performers such as U2, the Eagles, Lady Gaga and One Direction, to name a few. The venue provides a sophisticated corporate events space with unique features, ideal for conferences, private parties and weddings.
Green Point Park
The stadium is surrounded by Green Point Park, one of Cape Town’s expansive green areas. This public park is a popular picnic spot featuring walkways, seating areas, water features and ponds. It is a great space to stroll or cycle around. For children, there are various adventure parks, and if you wish to unwind, check out the Outdoor Labyrinth.
Stadium and Green Point Tours
A fascinating stadium tour allows you to see the scale of the venue, walk on the pitch, and view the players’ wardrobes and VIP areas. In addition, a guided tour of Green Point Park and Diversity Gardens is also available. This tour covers three themes: People and Diversity, The Biodiversity Trail, and the Wetland Walk.
The Stadium is a state-of-the-art sporting and concert venue. Whatever event you are attending, the Radisson Blu Le Vendome Hotel, Cape Town is ideally placed in the suburb of Sea Point, within walking distance of the venue.
