Activities in Mauritius

Mauritius is packed with options when it comes to activities and adventure. Tee off on a golf course with a spectacular backdrop, dive the coral reefs or take to the skies in a helicopter, seaplane or even go skydiving. There are also calmer activities such as hiking through national parks or walking coastal trails. Mauritius has it all.

Diving

Diving in Mauritius is a unique experience. In the warmth of the Indian Ocean, the sea temperature remains between 22°C - 27°C. You can choose between various diving packages, courses and guided expeditions. Trips cater for all levels. The island is not large in size, which means there are plenty of opportunities to dive in different areas. Experienced divers can enhance their trip with wreck or cave diving. Mauritius is also the perfect destination to take your PADI Diving course.

A bird’s eye view

Take to the skies and enjoy the island from above. Panoramic views of sugar cane fields, volcanic-shaped landscapes and pure golden sands are contrasted against the crystal clear ocean. Helicopter sightseeing tours are the perfect way for you and three other to explore the whole island. Your experienced pilot will point out all the major landmarks along the way. For a private tour of the island seaplane and light aircraft tours will take you on a journey in the north end of the island where you can admire coral reefs and the stunning coastline.

Hiking

Mauritius is a haven for hiking. The warm climate makes trips a pleasure and you can shape your hike as you wish. The island’s habitat is made up of cascading waterfalls, rivers, canyons, forests and mountains.
