Dubai Desert Classics Golf Tournament
Each year the world’s best golf professionals flock to Dubai for the much anticipated Desert Classics Tournament. Promoted and organized by Golf in Dubai, the tournament is fondly referred to as the Major of the Middle East, due to its longevity and world-class field of players that it attracts every year. The first tournament held in 1989 was won by Mark James from England. Since then, 22 players from 12 different nations have taken home a trophy.

Players can also indulge in a 9-hole par 3 course, golf academy, a gym and a tropical swimming pool. Golfers can also enjoy the on-site restaurants and bars. The tournament itself is played on the Majlis par 72 course, with long fairways, desert flora, seven lakes and a challenging uphill 8th hole. US-based magazine Golf Digest named these fairways on their list of the world’s top 100 courses.
