Get a taste for authentic Italian flavors when you’re in Milan by attending a cooking school set within a typical Italian home.

Cook in Milano offers English run daily classes led by Chef Clara Raimondi, an enthusiastic Italian foodie with experience as an Italian cooking teacher and a certified sommelier. With a passion for food and wine, Clara combines the cooking classes with lessons on the culture, traditions, habits and customs of the Italian way of life.

Authentic Italian cuisine

Classes begin in the morning, when Clara will showcase the four traditional, seasonal Italian recipes to be prepared that day. All ingredients used are of the finest quality, freshly supplied from the local market and 100 percent Italian.

The first meal to be prepared is the antipasto, the Italian starter. This typically includes bruschetta, prosciutto and melon or insalata caprese. The first course is always a homemade pasta, pizza, gnocchi or risotto with different sauces. The second course usually features meat or fish with vegetables, while dessert dishes may be tiramisu, fruit, chocolate cake or Macedonia with ice-cream. Vegetarian, gluten-free and low calorie menus are also available on request.

Once the food has been prepared, the class gather round the table in a typical Italian dining room to eat. Each course is accompanied with excellent Italian wine, chosen by the school’s sommelier who will explain the wine pairings, followed by fantastic Italian espresso to finish.

Students will receive photos of their experience, along with an Italian cooking diploma. The aim of the cooking school is to offer a very special souvenir to take away: the ability to cook Italian style food at home for friends and family.

Cook in Milano is situated close to the Radisson Blu Hotel, Milan. Cooking classes run Monday to Thursday at 09:00 – 13:00. Cooking classes with a market tour are available from September to June, on Fridays and Saturdays at 08.30 – 13.30.
