One of the world's most heralded and iconic motorsport venues, Monza Racetrack is a thrillingly fast circuit situated in a beautiful park just outside Milan. The circuit is most famous for being the home of the F1 Italian Grand Prix™ and can be easily reached by public transport from the Radisson Blu Hotel in Milan.
Opened in 1922, the Monza Racetrack was only the third permanent circuit in the world. It is renowned for its speed and being the quickest of the F1™ circuits, due to the amazing long straights and limited chicanes, making it a favorite for drivers to test the high speeds and limits of their specialized race cars. In saying that, the super fast corners still provide a stiff challenge for drivers. This event takes place in September each year. It pulls in a huge crowd of locals and visitors to both Milan and Monza and is the annual highlight, with a large number of Ferrari fans supporting the national brand.
Year-round events calendarThe racetrack hosts a variety of other national and international races throughout the year. This includes World Superbikes, endurance sports cars and touring car races, at events such as the Ferrari Challenge, Rally Shows, Biker fest and much more. The track even welcomes runners in the annual Mezza of Monza Half Marathon each September. The circuit is a celebration of all things mechanical and automotive manufacturers often use the racetrack to showcase their products in an elite environment.
