Tee off with a round of Golf in Oman
Holidaymakers have a great range of courses to choose from when playing golf in Oman. The sultanate has undergone a huge recreational transformation in recent years, making their golf courses so good that they are considered some of the most prestigious and most challenging in the region.
Where to find the best courses
Oman's courses have been designed by some of the best in the business. There are three main golf clubs in and around the center of Muscat, The Amouj Golf Club, Muscat Hills Golf and Country Club and the Ghala Golf Club.
The Amouj Golf Club was designed by major champion Greg Norman and matches his exacting standards and style. This is the sultanate's first PGA links course and it features a lush 18 holes and driving range. The grounds are ideal for those who want to get in a few hits on their vacation.
Another popular course is the Muscat Hills Golf and Country Club. Located close to the heart of the capital, you can enjoy a spectacular selection of holes framed within the city's outstanding natural landscape.
Organizing a day on the green
The closest club to Radisson Blu Hotel, Muscat, is the Ghala Golf Club, just a few minutes’ drive away. The course has a mix of easy and tricky holes, meaning you are sure to find it challenging and forgiving at times. If you are visiting on business and only have a short break, then this is the perfect place to de-stress and catch up on your passion. You also have the opportunity to have qualified PGA professionals give you some tips during a training session. Book in an individual or group lesson and let them help you improve your swing. There are also beginner’s classes for those who are yet to fall in love with the sport.
