Rendez‐vous de L’Erdre
Everything started from a bet. Amateurs of jazz and lovers of pleasure were to gather on the edges of Erdre. As a result, we sailed between small concerts and DJ sets, while stopping to admire a flotilla of 200 boats racing along the river. We drank, danced and chatted around the sailing ships. It was a successful bet, for this festival not quite like the others.
For 4 days, more than 180 concerts flourished on both sides of the banks. A concert perched in the trees, a solo clarinet on a boat, a floating scene—everything is allowed to celebrate jazz. The high point? Sunday afternoon on the island of Versailles. The dancers in their Sunday clothes swing to the rhythm of the bands. We drink a sip of fresh cider enjoying the view, the lapping of the water and the sun that has just arrived. Happiness.
