Nová Galerie, which means New Gallery, opened in 2014, and is already generating buzz as one of the city's go-to exhibition spaces, perfect for discovering new and established Czech artists.
The gallery is located in the trendy Vinohrady neighborhood of Prague, and is home to numerous cozy cafés, bars and independent boutiques, set amongst elegant 19th-century buildings and parks. A gallery of dreams in PragueNová Galerie is dedicated to presenting the best and brightest of Czech artistic talent to a modern audience, with a focus on works created from the mid-20th century through to the present day. Many of the artists have a longstanding relationship with the gallery's founders, who particularly like to promote creators who possess a truly unique and exceptional voice, and whose distinctive personalities shine through their works.
Guided tours and lecturesAs gallery founder Nina Hedwic has explained, the gallery is "a place where dreams become reality", and indeed there is always something new and fascinating to explore among its spacious rooms and corridors. Against a bright and airy backdrop, visitors can take their time perusing the latest collection of paintings, sculptures and other artworks by well-known Czech artists or up-and-coming talents. There are also countless opportunities to learn more about the featured artists and Czech art in general, with an excellent program of guided tours for groups and individuals.
