Radisson Blu Royal Garden Hotel, Trondheim


The hotel is located in the middle of the city center of Trondheim and makes it easy for you to reach many sights, cafés, restaurants and shops by foot. If you do not feel like walking or you want to visit attractions and shopping centers outside the city center, public transportation is easy to reach and there are bike rentals available. The city itself is centrally located in Norway and you can get here by train, boat, car or plane. An airport shuttle is available and both the Flybussen and Værnesekspressen airport bus stops right outside of the hotel. Public transportation in the city consists mostly of buses, and tickets can be bought by downloading the AtB app, sending a SMS, on ticket machines at selected bus stops or by paying directly to the driver. Note that the latter is more expensive than using prepaid tickets.

Transportation to the airport

The airport bus that stops in front of the hotel departs every 15 minutes and uses about 50 minutes out to Trondheim Airport, Værnes, which is actually located in the neighboring county 30 kilometers away. The city's main railway station is 1.5 kilometers from the Radisson Blu Royal Garden Hotel, Trondheim, and it is also possible to take the train to the airport. Trondheim Harbor is less than a kilometer from the hotel, where the Hurtigruten Coastal Express offers daily departures to destinations north and south of the city. During summer you can take a local boat to the historic Munkholmen islet from Ravnkloa, only a few minutes’ walk from the hotel.
