Tour Museums Uppsala
A grand, 18th century home, the Linnémuseet, was home to Carl Linnaeus, the famous Swedish natural scientist and botanist often referred to as the ‘Flower King’. Linnaeus is much loved in Sweden and renowned internationally as a genius, multi-talented scholar, philosopher, doctor, teacher and zoologist.
Visitors can step back in history and visit Linnaeus’ former home and view beautifully preserved original furniture, china, textiles, portraits and clothing, getting a true insight into Linnaeus’ private world.
The museum is located on the grounds of the Linnaeus Garden and entry price covers admission to both attractions. The museum is open to the public in summer and for pre-booked private group tours all year round. Guided tours are available Tuesdays through to Sundays.
