Radisson Blu Hotel, Zurich Airport

Responsible Business

Radisson Blu strives to live as a responsible business, focusing on a number of causes including the preservation and protection of the world's water reserves. Entitled Blu Planer, this initiative ensures each Radisson Blu Hotel tries to save as much water as possible by introducing several water-saving actions like reuse of towels or water-saving showers. Learn more about the initiative by visiting our website.

Rezidor aims to be a trusted industry leader for Responsible Business in our interactions with all of our stakeholders including: owners, developers, partners, guests, employees and the local communities in which we operate.

At Radisson Blu Hotel, Zurich Airport, we focus on the areas of responsibility that impact our business and society. Our award-winning Responsible Business programme is built on 3 pillars.

Living Responsible Business

All staff members are required to complete the Living Responsible Business Program. The 3 main topics of this course are the 3 pillars of the Responsible Business Program: safety and security of guests and employees, social and ethical responsibility and ecological responsibility.

Several times a year, the Radisson Blu Hotel, Zurich Airport organises a barbecue in the woods for the residents of the Pigna institution, enabling a day full of experiences and adventures. In a forest cabin, a group of our staff members welcome their special guests, play games and entertain them for the day. This is an exciting change to their daily life. Together, they prepare the barbecue and enjoy a nice lunch offered by the hotel.

Animal Center

Animals are also an important part of our society. Once a year, our team visits a nearby animal center to help feed and care them. They also go for a walk with the dogs.

World Clean Up Day

All Radisson Blu Hotels in Switzerland – including Basel, Lucerne, St.Gallen and Zurich Airport – and the Park Inn by Radisson Zurich Airport, take part in the world wide Clean Up Day. Together they remove waste from streets and banks.

Responsible Business Action Month

Responsible Business Action Month is held each September. Throughout the month, we focus on collecting money to support the World Childhood Foundation from Her Majesty Queen Silvia from Sweden. The mission of the foundation is to defend the rights of the child and to promote better living conditions for vulnerable and exploited children at risk all over the world. For more information, visit the World Childhood Foundation website.
