Festivals, fairs and concertsIn the first days of March, the Old Town springs into life as the Casimir’s Fair commences. This annual fair sees folk artisans and craftsmen from around the country congregate in Vilnius and sell their wares. The fair also boasts a number of events and is a well-loved fixture for the artistic community in Uzupis Neighborhood and beyond.
Music lovers are perfectly catered for throughout the months of April and May, thanks to the arrival of the Sugrįžimai International Music Festival. Drawing talented musicians from Lithuania as well as international performers, it offers a variety of excellent performances and concerts.
As February draws to a close, bibliophiles flock to Vilnius to enjoy the city’s Book Fair and film fanatics time their trips to take advantage of the International Film Festival taking place at the end of March. However, the biggest and best event is arguably Capital Days, a modern multi-disciplinary festival that transforms the streets in the last days of August.
