Messe: the city’s top exhibition center
Messe Dusseldorf is the city’s premier exhibition center and welcomes around 1.5 million visitors to trade fairs and another 2,800 people to meetings and other events every year. This huge center was built in 1971 and contains more than 16 versatile events spaces ranging from 4,000 to 25,000 meters in size.
As well as expansive trade fair areas, this venue has conference rooms and press suites which can accommodate events on a smaller scale. It has also been the location for a number of high-profile events including the 1993 Davis Cup Finals and the annual Medica medical conference.
Reaching Dusseldor’s Event Venue
The venue is a short eight minutes’ drive from the International Airport, making it easy to get to when short on time. Those arriving right from a flight can grab a taxi or take the 869 Bus, which goes direct.
For those arriving from the center of the city, public transport to Messe is a breeze. When there are large events such as trade fairs, the bus, subway and tram services are increased, making the trip time-saving and hassle-free. Services during these times depart as frequently as once every three minutes and take less than 15 minutes to reach the arena.
