Oslo Concert Hall
Situated in Vika, in the Frogner district, Oslo Concert Hall is the Norwegian capital’s premier music and cultural venue. It offers a varied program of events and more than 200,000 people visit each year. Oslo Concert Hall holds more than 300 events each year, including classical music performances and jazz concerts, and has been the home of the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra since it opened in 1977.
Previous performersThe concert hall consists of the Main Hall and the Small Hall, together with a number of vestibule areas. Over the years, many great Norwegian and international artists and celebrities have performed and spoken here, including Ella Fitzgerald and Count Base, Tom Waits, Fleetwood Mac, Chippendales, The Real Group, Bill Clinton, Sting and Josh Groban. In addition to the many independent concerts hosted here, there are several regular series of events and concerts. Among them are the children’s concert hall series, aiming to present fantastic classical music to kids of all ages and their parents. You can also enjoy wonderful music alongside your coffee at the intimate jazz café.
Host your next event in styleAs well as being used as a venue for concerts and performances, it’s also available for hire and is a popular choice for business seminars and conferences, exhibitions and other events. The concert hall has the flexibility to arrange events for 20 to 1,404 people. The elegant Oslo Concert Hall restaurant, ”Glasshuset” is also used as a venue for gala banquets and receptions.
