About Fujairah

Fujairah is one of the seven territories that makes up the United Arab Emirates.

Fujairah is only 1450 sq km in area and has a population of just 100,000 people. As a result, it is a much smaller and quieter holiday destination than its neighbour Dubai, but with just as much to offer visitors.

Historical attractions in Fujairah
Fujairah's history stretches back thousands of years and visitors in the emirate can learn much about the region's past while on holiday. Situated near our Fujairah resort is the great tomb at Al Muhallab, a mass graveyard of archaeological importance that dates between the Bronze Age and the Iron Age.

The most famous attraction is Fujairah Fort, a large castle built in 1670 AD. Al Bidya Mosque is a 400-year-old religious site whose impressive architecture also draws tourists and religious visitors. Both of these historical sites are located near Fujairah City and can be accessed from our hotel in Fujairah.
