CRETE – THE BIRTHPLACE OF ZEUSAccording to Greek mythology, Zeus, the king of the gods of Olympus, was born in Crete. His mother, Rhea, chose Crete as his birthplace to protect him from his father Saturn. Rhea gave birth to god Zeus in the Dikteon cave, which is about 40 kilometers away from Radisson Blu Beach Resort.
