GOLF IN TRYSIL
Trysil is a paradise for those who love winter with skiing and snow fun, but Trysil also offers one of the best forest and mountain golf courses. With exciting design and varied backnine and frontnine it suits players of all ages, regardless of skill level. Golf season lasts from mid-May to early October, and each hole is nicely located in the countryside with a beautiful view both to Trysilfjellet and Trysil center. It is easy to walk through the course and Trysilfjellet Golf Course sees the importance of the social aspect and that you can play without stress and hassle.
The main course consists of 18 holes, par 72. In addition there is a 4 hole "Pay & Play" short course, which is an excellent opportunity for those who want to perfect their golf game. At the short hole course you find challenges like water hazards and bunkers, which usually only apperars at larger courses. This is an excellent opportunity for those who want to try golf for the first time. The training areas are also of top quality. There is a driving range consisting of 33 outlets mats, where 10 of them are covered. In addition there is an area for putt & chip training and a training bunker.
New in 2016 was a 9-hole adventure's mini-golf course to suit all ages and skill levels. The mini golf course is right outside the front porch to the Café Arena.
The track is constructed from natural materials and playing surface consists of synthetic turf. With obstacles like on a proper course with bunkers, stones and rough grass everyone can have a great time with family and friends.
The golf course was designed by Jeremy Turner and was officially opened in 2003. Besides the delegates who wants play at one of the finest wood- and mountain paths, it is also home to Trysil Golfklubb. Café Arena offers snacks for hungry guests who need a break from the golfing.
The Pro Shop boasts a good selection of clothes, clubs, balls and accessories equipment. And they also rent out golf equipment.
Trysilfjellet Golf Course is only 800 meters from the Radisson Blu Resort Trysil so you can easily take the golf bag with you and walk over to practice your favorite sport.
