This state-of-the-art entertainment venue, originally dubbed the O2 Dublin, officially opened in 2008 and is already known as the premier concert venue in Ireland. The 3Arena is one of the busiest arenas in the world, and was ranked as the 15th best-attended arena in the world by Pollstar.
Concerts and eventsLocated in the up-and-coming Dublin Docklands, 3Arena has played host to some of the biggest names in entertainment. From the Lord of the Dance premiere to U2, Green Day, Cirque du Soleil, WWE Wrestling and Ricky Gervais, it has held several unforgettable events. The building is packed all year round, offering a full calendar of over 150 live events annually, including national and international touring musical performances, theatrical events and comedy shows.
Getting to the venueAs this is a popular venue with such a large capacity, travelling by public transport is the easiest option. The Luas Red Line tram will take you right to the front of the arena. You can catch it just 5 minutes from the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel, Dublin. On event days, there are extra tram services running, so you won't have to wait long to get a ride back to the city.
As there is often a lot of traffic, driving by car can take quite a while. However, if you do decide to drive, paid parking is available onsite. Do speak to our front desk about other options such as shuttle services and buses, too.
However you reach the gig, make a night of it with drinks and dinner beforehand. You’ll find plenty of places to choose from in the area.
