Get cultural at Copenhagen’s Opera House
The Copenhagen Opera House is one of the most modern and best equipped venues of its kind in the world. It is part of the Royal Danish Theater and is often referred to as the Royal Danish Opera. Donated to the state in August 2000, the venue has a capacity for up to 1,700 people and hosts a range of operatic and theatrical events. Come and spend a night and enjoy a performance or book out the space for a business event.
A royal structure
Located opposite Amalienborg, home of the Danish Royal Family, the Opera House is an iconic feature of the city's waterfront. The building's exterior is constructed from limestone, glass and steel, whilst art lovers will feel at home in the interior foyer, made from Sicilian Perlation marble and complemented by three large, specially commissioned glass lamps.
With six stages over fourteen floors, this cultural venue spans over 41,000 square meters and contains more than 1,000 rooms. Every part of the building is constructed to offer a premium viewing experience for audiences of opera, orchestras and ballets. There is also a small adjoining Takkelloftet stage, which is designed for experimental theater performances.
